Yes, the UV light is contained in the bottom of the heater, well away from skin and eye exposure. The blue glow behind the louvres is LED lights to indicate the UV-C light is on.
When air is drawn through the Airo+UV air sanitizer, viruses, bacteria and harmful microorganisms are destroyed by passing through the filter and UV-C light. The UV-C light destroys the molecular bonds that hold together the DNA of coronaviruses and bacteria.

Can’t use until you check the filter can’t check the filter due to the three prong screws same screws in the bottom to get to the UV light… and of course they didn’t send one to use…
